First ATI was compatible to all (hardware), after AMD acquired the company
it became trouble. This is ATI Fate and they will not come back anymore
because they don’t like to integrate their chip onto any motherborad except
to their own video cards. But the profit is too low.

Well, Apple uses Nvidia as well, so they can still use Intel processors and
Nvidia cards, but since I don’t buy from Apple, they can do whatever they
want.
